The Pesado Clump Crusher is an essential tool for espresso preparation that helps break up coffee clumps to create a more even puck density. This tool is ideal for baristas who want to enhance their coffee experience using the Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT). It features a removable needle system with eight needles, allowing for easy cleaning or replacement, ensuring long-lasting performance and versatility in your setup.
The Pesado Stainless Steel Clump Crusher is a WDT distribution tool that breaks up clumps, fluffs the puck and evens out density before tamping — for smoother, more consistent shots. Its eight 45mm needles reach deep into the coffee bed to redistribute grounds without over-disturbing the puck, reducing channelling and improving extraction consistency.
Built entirely from electro-polished stainless steel for durability and a smooth, wear-resistant finish, it’s offered here in Black Alloy. Each needle is individually replaceable, so you can swap one rather than the whole tool, and the electro-polished leva end is finished to match Pesado’s modular portafilter and tamper sets.
The Pesado Clump Crusher is designed for baristas who want to improve their espresso preparation. It employs the Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT) to break up clumps in the coffee puck, promoting even density and better extraction. This tool is essential for achieving a consistent coffee experience.
The Pesado Clump Crusher features cross-layered birch wood that is vacuum dyed, providing a premium and long-lasting colour. This material choice not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also contributes to the durability of the tool.
The Pesado Clump Crusher weighs 33g and includes a removable needle system with a total of eight needles. Each needle has a length of 45mm and a thickness of 0.3mm, allowing for effective clump breaking while maintaining precision in espresso preparation.
Cleaning the Pesado Clump Crusher is straightforward due to its removable needle system. Regularly remove the needles to clean them and the tool itself to prevent any coffee residue build-up. This maintenance ensures consistent performance and longevity of the product.
