The La Cimbali M21 Junior DT Coffee Machine is ideal for small cafés, bars, restaurants, catering operations, and offices that require a compact yet powerful espresso solution. Its single group design makes it perfect for environments with limited space while still delivering commercial-grade quality. It caters to users who want to provide traditional Italian-style espresso and cappuccino without the need for a large machine.
The La Cimbali M21 Junior DT features a 2.5-litre boiler, which allows for simultaneous espresso brewing and milk steaming. It operates with a rotary volumetric pump, ensuring consistent pressure for professional extraction. The machine has a direct mains water connection, eliminating the need for tank refilling. It operates at 1900 W, requires a 10A power supply, and has dimensions of 320 x 470 x 430 mm, weighing 33 kg.
While the La Cimbali M21 Junior DT does not specify compatibility with particular grinders, it is recommended to use a high-quality espresso grinder that can deliver a consistent grind size for optimal extraction. Pairing it with a La Cimbali grinder or other reputable brands will help achieve the best results in terms of flavour and consistency in your espresso shots.
Maintaining the La Cimbali M21 Junior DT involves regular cleaning and descaling to ensure optimal performance. It is important to clean the steam wand and hot water wand after each use to prevent milk residue build-up. Regularly check and clean the water filter and ensure the machine is descaled according to the manufacturer's recommendations to avoid mineral build-up in the boiler and pipes.
Compared to other espresso machines in its category, the La Cimbali M21 Junior DT stands out due to its compact size and commercial-grade features, such as programmable volumetric dosing and a rotary pump. While many home machines may not offer the same level of consistency and build quality, the M21 Junior DT is designed for users who want professional results in a smaller footprint, making it a strong choice for commercial use.
La Cimbali products typically come with a manufacturer's warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship. In Australia, customers can expect local support for servicing and repairs through authorised service centres. It is advisable to check the specific warranty details upon purchase, as they may vary based on the retailer and the terms provided by La Cimbali.

Had my ECM Synchronika serviced by Espresso Works recently and figured the service was worth writing a review of my excellent experience. I bought my machine second hand and immediately encountered a leak from my flow control valve. Another 5-star rated company charged me an absolute fortune and didn't resolve the issue until the second visit. I had to show them how to fix the leak, and that it was two perished o-rings that caused it. The fix only requires 10 minutes of work and a few dollars in parts. They also returned my machine with a dent and several scratches. The reason I include this anecdote is because it doesn't seem uncommon for companies to offer servicing and repairs for premium machines and not actually know what they're doing or take any care in the quality of their work. Espresso Works is a welcome exception to this. Meaghan organised for Dom to both collect and return my machine; both times were prompt and on time. When it was returned, all surfaces had been wiped down and looked almost new again. All my valves, levers and taps are smoother and quieter than I'd have expected them to be on a several year old machine! They listened to what my concerns were about the machine before pickup and these were reflected in the service report on my invoice where each issue was looked into. In short, I highly recommend Espresso Works to anyone with a premium machine, especially those with ECM machines, as the work done on mine is fantastic and the experience interacting with their company was great.Posted on Google![]()

Top quality customer service. Great product range for high-end home coffee machines. I had small issues with my Torre Peppina. They sent a technician straight away to get it fixed and followed up to ensure the machine was working perfectly. I recommend buying with a local like Espresso Works Perth WA for the extra assistance post-sale.Posted on Google![]()
