It is advisable to wear safety gloves and safety goggles.
If surfaces are too dry or acidic, this will delay or prevent hardening, while higher levels of moisture and alkaline surfaces will have an accelerating effect.
Due to the vapour pressure of the liquid adhesive, slow curing excess product around the adhesive area may result in a white deposit (blooming effect). These are adhesive vapours that are hardening. These can be removed with e.g. isopropanol or acetone. However, it is important to note that the surfaces of the parts to be cleaned are also resistant to these solvents. Blooming can be prevented/reduced by using the adhesive economically and ensuring sufficient air humidity and ventilation in the work area.

Had my ECM Synchronika serviced by Espresso Works recently and figured the service was worth writing a review of my excellent experience. I bought my machine second hand and immediately encountered a leak from my flow control valve. Another 5-star rated company charged me an absolute fortune and didn't resolve the issue until the second visit. I had to show them how to fix the leak, and that it was two perished o-rings that caused it. The fix only requires 10 minutes of work and a few dollars in parts. They also returned my machine with a dent and several scratches. The reason I include this anecdote is because it doesn't seem uncommon for companies to offer servicing and repairs for premium machines and not actually know what they're doing or take any care in the quality of their work. Espresso Works is a welcome exception to this. Meaghan organised for Dom to both collect and return my machine; both times were prompt and on time. When it was returned, all surfaces had been wiped down and looked almost new again. All my valves, levers and taps are smoother and quieter than I'd have expected them to be on a several year old machine! They listened to what my concerns were about the machine before pickup and these were reflected in the service report on my invoice where each issue was looked into. In short, I highly recommend Espresso Works to anyone with a premium machine, especially those with ECM machines, as the work done on mine is fantastic and the experience interacting with their company was great.

They sent a technician straight away to get it fixed and followed up to ensure the machine was working perfectly.
