The Pesado HD High Diffusion Shower Screen is an advanced accessory for espresso machines that enhances extraction consistency. It is designed for baristas who seek precision in their brewing process, addressing common issues like uneven water distribution. With 18 targeted channels, this shower screen ensures even water flow across the puck, allowing for optimal infusion and complete control over water diffusion for every shot.
The Pesado HD Espresso Shower Screen is engineered for precision and consistency, eliminating the uneven water distribution that causes irregular extractions. Where mesh screens send water down an irregular path with limited surface coverage, this HD screen uses 18 targeted channels to direct water to the exact spots of every extraction, delivering consistent flow shot after shot. Its outer channels run all the way to the edge, so water reaches the entire puck bed right to the basket wall — giving you complete control over diffusion and a more even, repeatable shot every time.
Precision-machined from 3mm 304 stainless steel, 58.35mm in diameter with 18 channels. Designed to fit La Marzocco group heads. Each set includes one HD shower screen and one shower screen screw.
The Pesado HD High Diffusion Shower Screen is used in espresso machines to improve the consistency of coffee extractions. It addresses common issues like uneven water distribution, which can lead to irregular extractions. By utilising 18 targeted channels, it ensures that water flows evenly across the coffee puck, resulting in a more uniform extraction for better-tasting espresso.
The Pesado HD High Diffusion Shower Screen is made from 304 stainless steel with a thickness of 3mm. It features 18 channels for optimal water diffusion and has a diameter of 58.35mm. These specifications contribute to its ability to provide consistent water flow and surface coverage during espresso extraction.
The Pesado HD High Diffusion Shower Screen is designed to fit standard 58.35mm portafilters, which are common in many commercial and home espresso machines. However, it's important to check the specifications of your machine to ensure compatibility, as some models may require different sizes or types of shower screens.
To maintain the Pesado HD High Diffusion Shower Screen, regular cleaning is recommended to prevent coffee oils and residue buildup. You can clean it by rinsing under hot water and using a soft brush to remove any stubborn particles. For deeper cleaning, a solution of water and espresso machine cleaner can be used. Ensure it is thoroughly rinsed before reinstallation.
Compared to standard shower screens, the Pesado HD High Diffusion Shower Screen offers enhanced water diffusion due to its 18 targeted channels. This design allows for better coverage of the coffee puck, reducing the likelihood of channeling and uneven extraction. As a result, it can produce a more consistent and balanced espresso compared to traditional mesh screens.
The Pesado HD High Diffusion Shower Screen typically comes with a manufacturer's warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship. For specific warranty details and support, it is advisable to check with the retailer or the manufacturer's website for the terms applicable in Australia.
