The Pesado Clump Crusher is a wooden tool designed for espresso preparation that effectively breaks up clumps and evens out the coffee puck before tamping. Ideal for baristas and coffee enthusiasts, it helps achieve a consistent extraction by fluffing the puck and ensuring even density. Featuring 45mm long and 0.3mm thick needles in an 8-needle setup, this tool reaches deep into the puck without disturbing its structure, while the wooden leva end adds a unique visual appeal.
The Pesado Wooden Clump Crusher is a WDT distribution tool that breaks up clumps, fluffs the puck and evens out density before tamping — for smoother, more consistent shots. Its eight 45mm needles reach deep into the coffee bed to redistribute grounds without over-disturbing the puck, reducing channelling and improving flow uniformity for higher, more repeatable extractions.
The removable birch wood leva end comes in Pesado’s signature Oak finish — vacuum-dyed and sealed with a heat- and water-resistant wax for lasting durability. Each needle is individually replaceable, so you can swap one rather than the whole tool, and it’s designed to match Pesado’s wooden portafilter and tamper sets.

To maintain the Pesado Clump Crusher, it is recommended to clean the wooden leva end and the needles regularly. You can wipe the wooden part with a damp cloth and ensure it is dried thoroughly to prevent moisture damage. The needles can be brushed gently to remove any coffee residue. Avoid soaking the tool in water to maintain the integrity of the wood and wax coating.

Its build quality and materials are also aligned with industry standards, making it a reliable choice for professional and home baristas alike.
