The XLVI STH9 1 Group in matt black is a striking custom finish of XLVI’s professional yet compact Italian espresso machine — finished entirely in deep matt black across the body, side discs and even the iconic XLVI roman-numeral-cut feet plate, with subtle stainless steel trim and brass-toned saturated group accents creating a bold, monochromatic statement piece. The internal rotary pump(100 L/hour) provides whisper-quiet, professional-grade pressure, while a 3L service boiler ensures powerful, consistent steam. Distinctive design highlights include XLVI’s Smooth Flow extraction for velvety, even espresso, adjustable mechanical and electronic pre-infusion, U Can Touch cool-touch steam wands, and signature circular black side discs that frame the machine’s bold silhouette. With dual heating modes (combined or alternated), dual water connection options (tank or mains), an OLED display, automatic washing, and full customisation in colours, materials and accessories, the STH9 1 Group Black is a true expression of XLVI’s artisan Italian craftsmanship.

Had my ECM Synchronika serviced by Espresso Works recently and figured the service was worth writing a review of my excellent experience. I bought my machine second hand and immediately encountered a leak from my flow control valve. Another 5-star rated company charged me an absolute fortune and didn't resolve the issue until the second visit. I had to show them how to fix the leak, and that it was two perished o-rings that caused it. The fix only requires 10 minutes of work and a few dollars in parts. They also returned my machine with a dent and several scratches. The reason I include this anecdote is because it doesn't seem uncommon for companies to offer servicing and repairs for premium machines and not actually know what they're doing or take any care in the quality of their work. Espresso Works is a welcome exception to this. Meaghan organised for Dom to both collect and return my machine; both times were prompt and on time. When it was returned, all surfaces had been wiped down and looked almost new again. All my valves, levers and taps are smoother and quieter than I'd have expected them to be on a several year old machine! They listened to what my concerns were about the machine before pickup and these were reflected in the service report on my invoice where each issue was looked into. In short, I highly recommend Espresso Works to anyone with a premium machine, especially those with ECM machines, as the work done on mine is fantastic and the experience interacting with their company was great.Posted on Google![]()

Top quality customer service. Great product range for high-end home coffee machines. I had small issues with my Torre Peppina. They sent a technician straight away to get it fixed and followed up to ensure the machine was working perfectly. I recommend buying with a local like Espresso Works Perth WA for the extra assistance post-sale.Posted on Google![]()
