The Mazzer Robur S Electronic is a high-performance conical burr espresso grinder hand-built in Venice, Italy, much favoured by bartenders and baristas dealing with large daily volumes and demanding workloads. Equipped with 71mm conical burrs and an 800W motor, the Robur S delivers an average grinding speed of 1 second per 5g (50Hz) — making it the flagship workhorse of the Mazzer S line and the go-to choice for high-volume specialty cafés, busy roasteries, and venues where peak service hits hard and grind quality cannot be compromised.
The defining strength of the Robur S is its combination of consistent dosing, uniform coffee grounds, and significantly reduced retention — 52% less retention than previous generations means less wasted coffee and faster, more accurate dialling-in when changing settings. Low-RPM operation (420 rpm @ 50Hz) combined with a tailor-built double fan cooling system and split chassis design protects coffee beans from heat exposure across long grinding sessions, preserving aroma and in-cup quality through the busiest service. The Electronic version features a touch display configurable in 19 languages, with three programmable buttons for single, double, and triple doses (accurate to one hundredth of a second) plus a fourth manual button for precise fine tuning of the dose.
IoT connectivity is pre-set as standard — letting baristas, roasters, owners, and service technicians remotely access real-time grind reports via the cloud for monitoring output, tracking usage, and improving coffee quality through data-driven insights. The state-of-the-art Grind Flow Control (GFC) system reduces electrostatic charge and prevents clumping with a removable aluminium outlet insert and three interchangeable wire dampers (AntiClumping, AntiDust, and Hybrid) — letting baristas tune the grinder to coffee origin, roast profile, weather conditions, or personal preference. A user-friendly Memory Track system indexes grind settings, the wider, more precise grinding adjustment range gives baristas finer control, and a portafilter-activated grinding button on the fully adjustable portafilter holder enables hands-free workflow. For the operator running a serious high-volume coffee program who wants the best conical burr grinder Mazzer makes outside of the Kold S, the Robur S Electronic is the definitive choice.

Had my ECM Synchronika serviced by Espresso Works recently and figured the service was worth writing a review of my excellent experience. I bought my machine second hand and immediately encountered a leak from my flow control valve. Another 5-star rated company charged me an absolute fortune and didn't resolve the issue until the second visit. I had to show them how to fix the leak, and that it was two perished o-rings that caused it. The fix only requires 10 minutes of work and a few dollars in parts. They also returned my machine with a dent and several scratches. The reason I include this anecdote is because it doesn't seem uncommon for companies to offer servicing and repairs for premium machines and not actually know what they're doing or take any care in the quality of their work. Espresso Works is a welcome exception to this. Meaghan organised for Dom to both collect and return my machine; both times were prompt and on time. When it was returned, all surfaces had been wiped down and looked almost new again. All my valves, levers and taps are smoother and quieter than I'd have expected them to be on a several year old machine! They listened to what my concerns were about the machine before pickup and these were reflected in the service report on my invoice where each issue was looked into. In short, I highly recommend Espresso Works to anyone with a premium machine, especially those with ECM machines, as the work done on mine is fantastic and the experience interacting with their company was great.Posted on Google![]()

Top quality customer service. Great product range for high-end home coffee machines. I had small issues with my Torre Peppina. They sent a technician straight away to get it fixed and followed up to ensure the machine was working perfectly. I recommend buying with a local like Espresso Works Perth WA for the extra assistance post-sale.Posted on Google![]()
