The Markibar Izaga W Coffee Grinder is a gravimetric grind-by-weight commercial espresso grinder that ensures precise dosing for every shot. It is designed for busy cafés and baristas who need consistent results without the hassle of manual weighing. With a reinforced internal load cell, this grinder delivers an accuracy of ±0.3g and automatically compensates for variables like burr wear and environmental changes, making it reliable and low-maintenance in high-demand settings.
Hand-built in Spain by Markibar, the Izaga W is a high-precision commercial espresso grinder engineered around true gravimetric grind-by-weight technology. At its core is a reinforced internal load cell that measures grounds in real-time during grinding to deliver an accuracy of ±0.3g — automatically compensating for burr wear degradation, changes in coffee bean type or roast level, and environmental fluctuations in humidity and temperature. The result is identical espresso shots across all staff skill levels, eliminating manual weighing and significantly reducing training time. Dose weights (18g, 20g, etc.) are programmed directly via the touch interface, and the grinder tracks daily and weekly coffee consumption in kilograms for inventory management — replacing the need for separate scales, dosing cups, and distribution tools at the bar. Micrometric grind adjustment at 0.0083mm per click delivers ultimate control over particle size, while the 64mm flat burrs are rated for 1,500kg of throughput. Where most grind-by-weight grinders rely on external sensors that are vulnerable to knocks and environmental impact, Markibar’s reinforced internal load cell is far less likely to suffer damage or require frequent recalibration — translating to higher reliability, less maintenance, and more consistent dosing accuracy under the demands of a busy Australian café workflow. Finished in matte black.
The Markibar Izaga W Coffee Grinder is ideal for commercial coffee environments, particularly busy cafés and specialty coffee shops. Its gravimetric grind-by-weight technology ensures consistent dosing accuracy, making it suitable for baristas of all skill levels. This grinder reduces the need for manual weighing, streamlining workflows and minimising training time for new staff.
The Markibar Izaga W Coffee Grinder features a reinforced internal load cell for real-time measurement of grounds, achieving an accuracy of ±0.3g. It is equipped with 64mm flat burrs rated for 1,500kg of throughput. The micrometric grind adjustment allows for precise control at 0.0083mm per click. The grinder also tracks daily and weekly coffee consumption in kilograms, aiding in inventory management.
Yes, the Markibar Izaga W Coffee Grinder is compatible with the Puqpress M2 automatic tamper, allowing for seamless workflow integration. This compatibility enhances efficiency in busy café settings, ensuring that ground coffee is tamped consistently for optimal espresso extraction.
Maintaining the Markibar Izaga W Coffee Grinder involves regular cleaning of the grinding chamber and burrs to prevent coffee oil buildup and ensure consistent performance. The reinforced internal load cell design reduces the need for frequent recalibration, but it is advisable to check the grinder's settings periodically, especially in high-use environments.
Compared to other commercial grinders, the Markibar Izaga W stands out due to its internal load cell technology, which offers greater reliability and less maintenance than external sensors found in many competitors. Its real-time grind-by-weight capability ensures consistent dosing, outperforming volumetric grinders in blind taste tests, making it a preferred choice for quality-focused cafés.
In Australia, the Markibar Izaga W Coffee Grinder typically comes with a manufacturer's warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship. For specific warranty details, including duration and terms, it's recommended to consult with the retailer or Markibar's Australian support team. They can provide guidance on service options and any available technical support.

Had my ECM Synchronika serviced by Espresso Works recently and figured the service was worth writing a review of my excellent experience. I bought my machine second hand and immediately encountered a leak from my flow control valve. Another 5-star rated company charged me an absolute fortune and didn't resolve the issue until the second visit. I had to show them how to fix the leak, and that it was two perished o-rings that caused it. The fix only requires 10 minutes of work and a few dollars in parts. They also returned my machine with a dent and several scratches. The reason I include this anecdote is because it doesn't seem uncommon for companies to offer servicing and repairs for premium machines and not actually know what they're doing or take any care in the quality of their work. Espresso Works is a welcome exception to this. Meaghan organised for Dom to both collect and return my machine; both times were prompt and on time. When it was returned, all surfaces had been wiped down and looked almost new again. All my valves, levers and taps are smoother and quieter than I'd have expected them to be on a several year old machine! They listened to what my concerns were about the machine before pickup and these were reflected in the service report on my invoice where each issue was looked into. In short, I highly recommend Espresso Works to anyone with a premium machine, especially those with ECM machines, as the work done on mine is fantastic and the experience interacting with their company was great.Posted on Google![]()

Top quality customer service. Great product range for high-end home coffee machines. I had small issues with my Torre Peppina. They sent a technician straight away to get it fixed and followed up to ensure the machine was working perfectly. I recommend buying with a local like Espresso Works Perth WA for the extra assistance post-sale.Posted on Google![]()
